AUSTIN (KXAN) — Gov. Greg Abbott signed a bill into law Tuesday that would eliminate mandatory vehicle inspections in Texas once it takes effect in 2025. Under current state law, most vehicles statewide are required to undergo annual vehicle safety inspections.
